Space is limited! But the opportunities for learning sure aren't.

Registration is Live!

Come learn with us at our 18th annual conference in Athens

Those geese are correct! Join farmers, health advocates, gardeners, parents, DIYers, and everyone in-between to learn, network, feast, and champion organic foods and farms. When farmers grow foods raised with community, health, and the environment at their heart, the result isn’t just better flavors—it's a better world. Read our full conference brochure here.

Our two-day conference is one of the largest sustainable agriculture expos in the South. This year we've got eight Food and Farm Tours,  14 In-depth Workshops, 36 Educational Sessions, a Better Farms, Better Flavors Expo, the famous Farmer's Feast, and a keynotefrom chef, author, and good food rabblerouser Hugh Acheson. Reduced earlybird rates are only good through Jan. 12, 2015, so register now! (And you can save even more by becoming a member of Georgia Organics.)

Workshops

In addition to our regular intensive workshops on everything from cover crops to rainwater harvesting, we've got some new things up our sleeves:
  • An all-day workshop from author Hugh Lovel on the basics of biodynamics
  • An all-day food hub workshop from The Wallace Center at Winrock International
  • An offsite, hands-on workshop at UGArden with David Berle
  • A soil health and biology workshop where you'll learn to examine your own soil under a microscope

Sessions

We've got more sessions than ever—including a dedicated livestock track!—so whether you're an experienced farmer, backyard gardener, or just a consumer who's passionate about advancing the banner of good food for all, there's a whole lot of learning going on.

Farm Tours

We've got eight farm tours, and they feature 18 individual farms and all manner of growing operations: urban farms, large and small-scale organic farms, livestock operations, University of Georgia's research farms, and much more.

Sponsorship

Sponsors allow us to host the South’s premier healthy food and farm conference and keep registration fees affordable for farmers, health practitioners, teachers, and students. For more information about sponsorship, click here or give Development Director Sandy Layton a call at (404) 481-5012.

Vino Venue & The Salvation Army Team Up This Holiday Season

11/19/2014

THE SALVATION ARMY ANGEL TREE PROGRAM @ VINO VENUE
Vino Venue Chef Cidney Wilcox started the tradition of having an Angel Tree last season.  The whole idea is to help provide less fortunate children a Christmas that is filled with love and unexpected gifts.

It's very easy to participate!
Visit Vino Venue and choose an angel from our tree.  Each angel represents a real child, and you'll see their name, age and wish list.  The cost of the item(s) you purchase is up to you--there is no min/max.   Deadline to drop off your items at Vino Venue is December 5th.
In return for your charity...
When you return with your presents you'll be presented a voucher for a free appetizer to use on your next visit.

Happy Holidays!
