Air B&B

Recipe by Sarah Castro, Bartender, Paces & Vine
Photo by Kyle Ripley, Haigwood Studios

If you are a little up in the air on which sultry island to escape to, this tropical tipple swirling with aged rum from Barbados, banana liquor and Crème de Cassis will give you inspiration. You can almost hear the waves in the background, the swaying palms and the island music. Next stop, an Air B&B in some exotic locale. You just have to figure out where.

Yield: 1 drink

2 ounces Plantation Barbados 5-year-old rum
3/4 ounce banana liqueur
1/2 ounce creme de cassis
1/2 ounce simple syrup
lemon peel for garnish
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all ingredients except lemon peel. Shake and strain into a highball glass filled with 1 large ice cube. Express lemon peel on top and pop into glass for garnish.
