Patak Italian Sausage Sandwiches

Yield: 4 servings
1 pound Patak hot or mild Italian sausage in bulk (no casing)
1 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce of choice
1 red onion, halved and sliced
1/2 sweet red pepper, cut into strips vertically
4 loaves Patak Bosnian Bread (Lepinje)
4 slices mozzarella cut into strips
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown sausage. Drain off excess fat, add sauce, onions and peppers and stir to combine. Place in oven until warmed through and flavors mingle, about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Split Patak loaves vertically and spread cheese slices evenly over bread. Ladle warm sauce evenly among rolls and serve.
