Southern Shack Burger

Recipe and photography by Whitney Miller

Yield: 4 servings
10 ounces ground chuck
10 ounces ground round
1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 slices medium cheddar cheese
4 hamburger potato buns
Southern Shack Sauce (recipe included)
4 leaves green leaf lettuce, ends trimmed
4 slices ripe tomatoes

In a medium bowl, combine ground chuck, ground round, salt, black pepper and Worcestershire sauce. Gently fold to incorporate ingredients. Divide into 4 equal patties about 1/2-inch thick.
Heat grill to medium high. Add patties to grill and cook for 4 minutes, flip and cook for another 2 minutes. Add cheese on top and cook for another 2 minutes or until cheese melts. Place buns on grill to heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
To assemble each burger, spread 1/2 tablespoon Southern Shack Sauce over each bun half. Add 1 hamburger patty to each bottom bun. Top each with lettuce leaf, tomato slice and bun top and serve.
